The 2024 Crausot is a red Burgundy made from Pinot Noir in the Givry 1er Cru appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise, France.
François Lumpp and his brother inherited the family property in the Côte Chalonnaise in the late 1970s. In 1991 he founded his own label with his wife, Isabelle. Using cuttings of older, selected bud wood (sélection massale), he built his domaine around Givry's best premier cru sites, on the mid to upper slopes of the rolling hillsides. Givry is one of the two mainly red wine appellations of the Côte Chalonnaise, known for refined and approachable reds. François was among the first to believe in Givry's terroir for white Burgundy, and his Chardonnays are well regarded today.
