La Tour Vieille Collioure Cuvée Puig Ambeille is a 2024 red wine made from Grenache in the Collioure appellation of Languedoc-Roussillon, France. It is one of several single vineyard bottlings of Collioure that the domaine makes.
Domaine La Tour Vieille sits in the seaport town of Collioure on the Mediterranean coast, just north of the Spanish border in French Catalonia. In 1981, Vincent Cantié and Christine Campadieu took over two small family domaines in Collioure and Banyuls, where they had grown up. They farm steep schist terraces above the sea, where the Tramontagne wind keeps yields low and the grapes free of mildew, so little pesticide or copper sulfate is needed. The slopes are too steep for anything but hand cultivation, and the grapes are carried out in baskets at harvest. Their work has inspired two documentaries.
