Marco Tinessa Ognostro White is a 2024 white wine from Campania, Italy. The name comes from the Neapolitan word for ink. The wine is made from a twenty-five year old vineyard in Montemarano.
Marco Tinessa does not come from a winemaking family. Wine started as a hobby, and he soon began visiting well-known winemakers and collecting as many bottles as he could. His admiration for the Taurasi of the 1960s and 1970s grew into an obsession, and the early days of the natural wine movement in France gave his approach a direction. Together they led him to start O'gnostro, which aims to bottle the character of a terroir he loves. In his view, and that of others who miss old school Taurasi, Montemarano is the best area of Taurasi.
