Paumanok Vineyards Blanc de Blancs is a 2022 sparkling Chardonnay from the North Fork of Long Island, New York. It is light to medium-bodied and very dry, with yeast, citrus and apple aromas and flavors, and crisp, refreshing acidity.
Paumanok is an estate winery founded in 1983 on the North Fork and owned and operated by the Massoud family. Charles and Ursula Massoud began as growers, picked their first crop in 1985 and sold grapes through the decade. The strong 1988 vintage led them to build a winery, completed in 1990. Their son Kareem Massoud is now winemaker and also makes the wines at neighboring Palmer Vineyards. Their 80 acres of vineyards supply Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and New York's only Chenin Blanc, among others.
