Podere Campriano Chianti Classico 80 Riserva Del Fondatore Valerio Lapini is a 2017 red from Chianti Classico in Tuscany, made from 100% Sangiovese. It has an alcohol content of 13.5%. The Campriano reds are traditionally made and reflect the dark, galestro schist soils of the Alta Greve.
Podere Campriano is a family farm in Greve-in-Chianti. The Lapini family lives in a farmhouse on a small hillside planted to 2 hectares of Sangiovese, farmed organically. They make their Chianti Classicos in the small stone cellars beneath their home. Their vines sit on three micro terroirs: the upper and lower slope below the house, and a hectare across the valley with a different exposure and more limestone. Their wines are made by the family, by hand, and meant to be drunk at the table.
