Pour Simone Cuvée Speciale is a 2021 Syrah from the Santa Ynez Valley in California, with an alcohol content of 13%.
Railsback Frères began in 2015 as a rosé project by brothers Lyle and Eric Railsback. They call their rosé "Les Rascasses" (scorpion fish in French) as an homage to Lulu Peyraud of Domaine Tempier in Bandol. Lyle spent twelve years in national sales for importer Kermit Lynch before focusing on this project. Eric started Lieu Dit wines in Santa Barbara and owns Verve Wine in NYC and San Francisco. Since partnering with Presqu'ile Winery in Santa Maria, they make their wines using only wild, native yeast fermentation, including small lots of Vermentino, Carbonic Carignan and Mourvèdre.
