Aged in old casks, Ambre has little tannin. Its color is golden, with a light and delicate nose. Aromas of flowers, oranges and a hint of vanilla highlight this cognac.. In the glass, this VSOP Cognac has a topaz hue with orange highlights. The inviting aroma is warm, honeyed and mellow. The silky palate echoes that honey and layers it with vanilla and baking spice, finishing long with citrus, spice and a hint of dried apricot. Sip or mix.
Sweet marzipan and apricot seed aromas are soft and warming. A slight viscosity provides a rich texture that reveals preserved peaches in light syrup, and light baking spice notes of mace and a sprinkling of fresh nutmeg. - 2018 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
