An unfiltered red wine, obtained from native Tuscan grape varieties. The 1.15 ha Vignali vineyard was planted in 2014. Located in Roccalbegna at 350 m.a.s.l. in the heart of the Maremma subzone in southwest Toscana. The soil is ammonite clay and is farmed organically. Ughetto is a blend of autochthonous red Tuscan grapes, primarily Sangiovese with Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo, and a small amount of Colorino. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast in truncated cone vats for 7-12 days on the skins. Aged in stainless steel; bottled without clarification or filtration. No added sulphites. 3,500 bottles produced.
