Venica & Venica Ronco delle Cime is a Friulano from Collio in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, made from fruit grown on the estate's highest hill. It is sunny golden yellow, with aromas of Williams pear, yellow peach, herbs and wild flowers, and a light almond note on the finish. The palate is full-bodied and enveloping, warm and harmonious, with savoriness and freshness, and it closes with the almond flavor typical of Friulano.
Venica & Venica is a family estate with 28 hectares of vines in the Dolegna district of Collio. Daniele Venica bought Ronco del Cero in 1930, and Giampaolo now runs it after his father Gianni and uncle Giorgio. Their whites are textural and aromatic, with little to no wood. They use organic practices, cover crops, pheromone traps and solar power, and a sprayer that collects excess copper sulfate and cuts its use by 70%.
