Walter Scott Cuvée Anne is a Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, from the 2024 vintage. Like all of the winery's Chardonnays, it is fermented in oak with native yeast, goes through 100% malolactic fermentation, and is fermented dry. It is then aged in oak, fined and filtered to give it more precision and polish the aromatics.
Walter Scott was launched about 8 years ago by Ken, who worked in Oregon wine production and distribution, and his partner, a sommelier and educator. They kept their day jobs while doubling production each vintage, and now make 3,500 cases and are done growing. They make only Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, aiming for clean, correct wines with tension and grace that reflect each vineyard site and vintage, at 12.8% to 13.5% alcohol.
