The Estate: This estate is located in the town Sommerach (range Maindreieck) in the German wine region Franconia . Founded in 1901, this is the oldest Frankish producer group. Frank Dietrich has been the CEO since 2005. The cellar master is Helmut Glaser. โThe location on the sunny side of the riverโ is the direct translation of Sommerach. In 1901, fifteen Sommeracher winemaking families founded out of necessity the wine cellars. Since the Winzerkeller Sommerach applies the same principle: Unity is strength. A shared vision determines our way. Our desire for authenticity, sustainability and value is deeply rooted. The winemakers from Winzerkeller Sommerach are steeped in tradition but also simultaneously cosmopolitan and innovative. We link the past and the future. Rapidly changing trends, we let pass by us, to create sustainable precious. Even if true craftsmanship sounds like a phrase from long ago, it is our guarantee of lasting success. The interaction of many small details, such as the handed down from generation to generation of experience, craftsmanship, skill, particularly eager to include the constant effort to be the best and the love of the job of the winemaker make us unique. Quality grows in the vineyard but must be preserved in the basement. The grapes of our winemaking families are carefully vinified separately by variety, vineyards and maturity. In some cases, individual vineyards are even harvested in several selections and processed separately. The basis for great wines are very ripe and aromatic grapes that can be read only by an uncompromising, oriented to the quality vineyard management. Each parcel is individually harvested for the optimum ripeness. Not the mass but the quality is for each wine-growing family of wine cellar in the first place.
